To my Children:

This project, in fact, everything you will read from this page is dedicated to the Triune God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  In September of 2025, I was sitting at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and had hit rock bottom spiritually.

Rock bottom looks different, depending on the lens you’re looking through. Looking through the spiritual lens, for me, it felt like my father had left me, which is weird for me since I had always felt that I had never had an earthly father.  I knew that I had used up whatever grace God had blessed my life with, despite how I had lived for the last 30 years.

I was divorced, albeit amicably, and I had adult children and now, grandchildren. A chill ran through me, and I began to ask myself what I had done to my children. How bad had I messed up? Was the proverbial millstone already around my neck, because I had caused them to stumble? Had they had grown up not knowing their father really loved the Lord, that he was a Christian? That he was a believer. Why? Because the life their father lived wasn’t an outward manifestation of his belief system. Their father was a coward when it came to professing his faith.

That night, I rededicated my life to my Lord. My Christ. The Holy Spirit that gives me discernment. I publicly profess that I believe in the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus and that the only way I, or anyone else, will get to heaven is through Him.

Caleb & Hailey, my children, please forgive me. I dedicate the rest of my life to being the father that you deserve. The grandfather that your children deserve. I also dedicate this project and the subsequent books that result from it to you. Please, in the time we have left together, look to me as I am now. I pray every day that I can make straight and narrow the path that I made wide and crooked for you.

I love all of you with all of my heart,

Dad (Eron Lindsey)
